Kids 3-Day Mountain Bike Skills Camp
Take Your Kid's Mountain Biking to the next level
These camps are for the beginner rider that is very strong riding on the pavement (see ability level below) , all the way up to the advanced level rider. We divide the groups up according to ability level. Group sizes range from 3 to 6 riders. We practice various skills on the grass and dirt each day, before heading out on a coached ride practicing these skills. Various trails on Vail Mountain are used, along with the East Vail singletrack where appropriate.
Ability Level
Goals of the Camp
- To learn and improve mountain bike skills, safety, and bike maintenance.
- Instill a passion for mountain biking, a lifelong sport.
- Meet other kids to ride with and have fun.
- Feel confident to enter a race if that is your level and desire
- Gain fitness for racing, if at that level
What to Bring
- Your tuned-up mountain bike with gears
- Helmet
- Camelback or water bottle on the bike
- Snack for each day to be carried on the bike/pack (take out lunch)
- Gloves and bike shorts are encouraged
- Light Rain Jacket
Rain Policy
Price
$150.00, Includes all coaching, a water bottle, and prizes.
Cancellation policy: No refunds within 14 days. Refunds outside of 14 days, you will receive a 50% credit good for another open camp through the following summer. No switching camps or making substitutions within 14 days.

At Base Camp Sports (a Venture Sports Store), in Vail Village at the top of Bridge Street.

Waivers must be submitted to us a minimum of 2 days prior to attending camp. Campers may not attend camp if waivers are not on file.

$115 for all 3 afternoons $45/afternoon for 1 or 2 afternoons.

Need a Bike Rental?

We work with Venture Sports. When you call to reserve, say you’re coming to Vail Mountain Bike Camps to get a discount. We encourage you to rent well in advance to the first day of camp to get used to the bike.
